In a new report Technavio's analysts forecast the global soft drinks packaging market to grow at a CAGR of around 4% between 2016 and 2020. Increased consumption of soft drinks, especially functional drinks, in developing nations is driving the market.
Currently, the global carbonated soft drink (CSD) packaging segment dominates the market, accounting for around 52% of the total market share. With an increasing number of consumers turning health conscious, they are more inclined toward functional and health drinks that are non-carbonated. As a result, low demand for CSDs will slow down the growth of this market segment during the forecast period (Persbericht Technavio, 7 april 2016).
