According to a new report by Technavio, the global anti-counterfeit packaging market is expected to grow at a CAGR of close to 19% during the forecast period 2017 to 2021. The increasing use of anti-counterfeit packaging for food and beverage and cosmetic products will fuel the growth of this market segment. The techniques used for secure packaging are namely overt, covert, and forensic features of the product packaging.
The increasing use of other technologies to ensure that patients receive the appropriate medicines or drugs will boost the demand for anti-counterfeit packaging solutions in the pharmaceutical industry (Persbericht Technavio, 25 januari 2017).
