VS: Sonoma County, California dicht bij goedkeuring verbod op kunststof draagtasjes
The members of the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency have approved a first reading of a draft ordinance to ban single-use plastic bags. The draft ordinance had been under evaluation for months, and if approved, would take effect on September 1, 2014.
Retailer establishments could make recyclable paper bags available to customers for a minimum charge of 10 cents each, itemizing the bag charges on customer receipts. They must keep a monthly report of the total number of recycled paper bags purchased and the total number sold, for a minimum period of three years from the date of purchase and sale (Recycling Laws International, 24 januari 2014).
