VK: FSA studie over herkomstettikettering toont positief resultaat
A study of the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) on food products claiming to be produced in the UK or in the Republic of Ireland shows that the country of origin claims were correctly used, and none of those products were misleading. The study was assessed with 96 food samples, divided over six product categories being beef, pork, lamb, apple juice, tomatoes and honey. The samples were taken from retailers, wholesale outlets and caterers, and from top end as well as from economy ranges. Although not fully representative, in the context of this small study the samples provided a reasonable spread across retailers across the four UK countries (FSA Nieuwsbericht, 29 juli 2014).
