USA: Kansas overweegt intrekking staatswetgeving verplicht coderen kunststof containers
Since 1994, Kansas law (Chapter 65, Article 34, Section 65-3425) has required all plastic bottles and rigid plastic containers be labeled or identified with a code indicating the plastic resin used to produce the bottle or container. The code consists of a number placed within a triangle of arrows and letters placed below the triangle of arrows. The code must be placed on or near the bottom of the bottle or container.
On January 30, 2014, the House Committee on Local Government introduced a bill to repeal the requirement. The bill is HB 2451, and it would take effect once published in the state code book (State Recycling Laws Update, 3 februari 2014).
