Langeafstandstransport van aardbeien: Effecten CO2 en MAP
Researchers at the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science in Korea studied the effects of carbon dioxide (CO2) and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on the quality of strawberry during long distance transportation.
They found that carbon dioxide alone or in combination with modified atmosphere packaging was effective in maintaining the quality of the strawberries. The results indicated that a short term application of CO2 or combination treatment of CO2 and MAP could be good postharvest handling for maintaining the freshness of the strawberries during long distance vessel export. An article about the research is published in Agricultural Sciences.
