Korea brengt herziene normen uit voor gebruik chemisch gerecycled PET en PEN voor voedselcontactmaterialen
The Republic of Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety issued revised Standards and Specifications for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages on December 16. One of the main revisions was the addition of a provision regarding lubricants for food machines and utensils that allows the use of “food, food additives and substances registered on Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) of the United States for the purpose of lubrication.”
The second main revision was the addition of a provision to permit the use of chemically recycled (decomposed to monomers and re-synthesized) PET and PEN for manufacturing of food utensils, containers and packages (Recycling Laws International, 31 januari 2014).
