Hoe de chemische industrie kan voldoen aan de nieuwe OSHA etiketteringsregels voor gevarencommunicatie
June 2015 is the looming deadline that chemical manufacturers and distributors face for complying with the new Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazard Communication Standard regulations.
New changes will bring the United States into alignment with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Building on OSHA’s current Hazard Communication Standard, the GHS is expected to prevent injuries and illnesses, save lives, and improve trade conditions for chemical manufacturers. Complying with GHS Labeling means significant changes in how manufacturers and distributors label hazardous materials (Weber Whitepaper, 25 september 2014).
