Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) erkent BRC Scope Extension for Storage and Distribution

GFSI has announced that the BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution has achieved recognition against the Guidance Document Sixth Edition.
The Standard was first developed in 2006 and is now in its second edition. The Standard was developed using logistics experts and is focused on the practical requirements in Storage and Distribution needed to manage the quality and safety of food, packaging and consumer products. Many logistics businesses also provide added services for their customers and the BRC Standard includes a range of additional voluntary modules allowing certification to activities such as contract packing (Nieuwsbericht GFSI, 19 augustus 2014).
