Frankrijk: Nieuwe nationale afvalmanagementplan goedgekeurd

The Government of France has approved a National Waste Management Plan for 2014-2020. Approval followed a public consultation earlier this year. The final plan was published in the Journal Officiel on 28 August 2014. The plan implements a number of requirements of the EU Waste Framework Directive.
It includes 55 actions assigned to 13 action categories. The categories include extending extended producer responsibility (EPR), preventing commercial/business waste generation, preventing household waste generation and combatting marine litter. A mid-term review of plan implementation progress is scheduled for 2017 (Recycling Laws International, 4 september 2014).
