Frankrijk: Conseil National de l’Emballage publiceert praktisch overzicht over milieuclaims op verpakking

The French Packaging Council (Conseil National de l’Emballage) has published a practical one page sheet in English about product packaging environmental claims. The Council recommends prioritising comprehensive information about the packaged product, in accordance with the 2009-967 act of 3 August 2009 which specifies that “customers must have access to sincere, objective and complete environmental information regarding the global characteristics of the product-packaging combination.
In the case of an environmental claim about packaging only, the allegation must correspond with the product in keeping with regulations that are relevant, fair, and that can be understood easily by the consumer.
