FR: Recycling ondoorzichtige PET-flessen groeiend probleem

The French Technical Committee for the Recycling of Plastic Packaging (COTREP) has released a research note on the recyclability of opaque PET bottles in colored PET streams. The report follows an earlier one in 2013.
Since the 2013 note, the use of opaque PET has grown, said COTREP.
Although two processes have been found to recycle some opaque PET into fiber and foam used to make products, their application is limited and is exceeded by the growing volume of opaque PET being introduced in the French marketplace. COTREP called for more research into finding new techniques and applications to recycle opaque PET (Recycling Laws International, 8 januari 2016).
