EU: Urgente CLP maatregelen voor capsules met wasmiddel

Commission Regulation 1297/2014 has been published in the Official Journal amending the CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008. The legislation proposed under the urgency procedure addresses packaging and labelling issues arising from liquid consumer detergent in soluble packaging for single use – also known as “liquitabs” or liquid laundry detergent capsules.
Urgent legislative action has been taken in response to growing concerns about the numbers of incidents across Europe involving young children and liquid detergent capsules in soluble packaging. The legislation enters into force on the 20th December 2014 and applies from 1st June 2015 (Safeware Quasar website, 8 december 2014).
