Embleem om gebruikers te informeren over de aanwezigheid van RFID – Europese norm gepubliceerd

It is important for industrial users, retailers and consumers to know when a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag is present. In June 2014 NEN-EN 16656 was published specifying an RFID Emblem providing the public with a readily identifiable method to inform users of the presence of RFID.
The standard specifies the design and use of the RFID Emblem. It also specifies an RFID Index, which can be included in the RFID Emblem and which addresses the complication added by the wide range of RFID tags (frequency, protocol and data structure). NEN-EN 16656 is a modification of ISO/IEC 29160:2012 (World Packaging Standardisation Newsletter, oktober 2014).
