ECHA updates Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria

The Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria for Part 3 Health Hazards, relating to specific concentration limits (SCLs) for four hazard classes, has been updated to provide guidance to manufacturers, importers and downstream users on how to set SCLs. The SCL concept allows fine-tuning of the contribution of certain hazardous substances to the classification of mixtures based on the potency of the substances (ECHA News Item, 20 November 2012).
